After I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with an art degree, I moved to Davis with my – now – wife so she could start her PhD program in Musicology. I began working at the IET Campus Data Center in 2017 as a Senior Data Center Operator and specialize in Splunk (And many thing related to logging, filtering, and search), writing KBs, Veeam backups, network shares, monitoring, picking up new applications quickly, and unusual solutions to problems. I joined Letters and Science IT in 2025 as a Senior Desktop Support Analyst supporting Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Outside of work, I like to say that my hobby is collecting hobbies and random bits of knowledge. One of my main goals in life is to try to be one of the lucky 10,000 every day at least once a day. I love learning about new things, making things, finding solutions to problems/puzzles, and many things nerdy/geeky on both the arts and the science sides of things. Also, conversations with me frequently have footnotes and sometimes a bibliography.
